Best time to visit Paris

Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–October) are the sweet spot — pleasant weather, gardens in bloom or golden leaves, and fewer crowds than peak summer. July and August are warm but busy and pricier. Winter is quiet, atmospheric and often the cheapest time to fly.

Which airport?

Paris has two main airports — Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY) — plus Beauvais, used by some budget airlines but well outside the city. We search all Paris airports at once, so you see the cheapest option without missing a deal. CDG and Orly both have fast train/bus links into the centre.

Tips for a cheap Paris trip

• Fly midweek — Tuesdays and Wednesdays are usually cheapest.
• Be flexible by a day or two; Paris fares move a lot day to day.
• Don't ignore a connecting flight — it can undercut the direct from smaller airports.
